Victory Day

The 9th of May or Victory Day is a major holiday in the Post Soviet States that celebrates the end of World War II.   During this war the Soviet Union saw the deaths of over 20 million people.  Kazakhstan experienced 600,000 casualties during this period in history.  World War II forced many nations to come together in an effort to eradicate evil at the loss of many lives.  CACR feels it is important to memorialize those that gave up their precious lives in this horrendous event, and to show appreciation to those that survived.   Therefore, CACR has played a role in honoring the veterans in some agrarian communities with gifts and recognition ceremonies.
